Mavi Maia, (@vivoquadro), is a visual artist and illustrator from Minas Gerais, born in Uberlândia and trained in Visual Arts. Her work celebrates Afro-Brazilian religiosity, Brazil’s fauna and flora, and the country’s many mythologies — exploring ancestry, identity, and memory in every stroke.
She works with a variety of techniques — from acrylic painting, watercolor, and gouache to digital illustration (ProCreate, Photoshop, Illustrator) — bringing to life a vibrant universe filled with symbolism. Beyond her canvas work, Mavi transforms her creations into prints and decorative pieces through her brand “VivoQuadro,” connecting art with design and popular culture. Her aesthetic combines symbolic strength and artistic sensitivity, inviting viewers to dive into narratives of ancestry, Brazilian identity, and spirituality.
